I picked this baby up cheap and it runs really well, everything works except the cruise control.

It would be awesome had you been wearing a Dunkin Donuts shirt!

some cheap upgrades

Post by Driftur » Fri Mar 02, 2007 3:32 am

pics065.jpg
i put in this c-pillar bar. its for a dc5(acura rsx) but it didnt mount up like naokis one. mines more forward and on the headrest of the back seat.
pics063.jpg
this upper strut bar is for a 91 s13 and it also didnt fit, i had to take off the nuts at the ends of the bar for it to fit. also had to take the cooling head off the motor or it wouldn't clear.
pics062.jpg
I added this filter, i think i got it from checkers for 20 something dollors. I went to subaru and gave them the maf code for the forester but we couldn't find any adapters plus the lady couldn't understand what i was trying to do with it, lol. so I just took off the box and squeezed the thing in. It breaths and sounds good.
paint019.jpg
I masked off the tires and got some rim paint, I wasn't feeling the gold rims with silver hub caps so i went gun metal :redhotevil:
paint016.jpg
I had to change my brake pads so while I was waiting for my rotors to be shaved I stopped at home depot and picked up two 3" flexible aluminum duct for $7 bucks each and routed em to my calipers for added cooling. Some guys from s.c.c.a. showed me this when i used to run my 240. It's a cheap and easy upgrade that really works (no more brake fading after 3 or 4 laps).
