Wasn't even 5 minutes after buying it that I started working on it

Someone felt like replacing the shift linkage with two pieces of all thread... wasn't too bad of a job but I think it was a little off. Tranny is toast regardless though so I'm just going to go with a 5-speed. :D

Nothing special here... yet... :D

The only bad spots that I can find so far:

Yeah, I was a little surprised to see rust but it was so minimal that I thought nothing of it. My Maxima is nearly rusted to pieces so I'm quite happy with the condition its in. Once I clean it up and do a little bit of detail work to the body, I think it'll look beautiful (not that it already doesn't... )

I see a raped and pillaged G50 on the side of the shed. Donor car?
Nice wheels. Came with the car?

Yeah, I mostly bought it for the VH45 to put in my Z32 but I wanted the whole thing to get the ecu, wiring harness, differential, axles, and other various parts I can use for the swap.

I went to Chicago to pick it up because they only wanted $2k for it. It was a decent deal... probably could have gone less because the paint wasn't in the greatest shape, it was poorly patched up in some spots. The transmission was also quickly on its way out. Then... as it turns out, the main bearings were pretty much shot as well so I went through an insane ordeal replacing all of those.

I believe the wheels were on there when the previous owner bought the car. I think that's what really made me like the car even more (not that I didn't like the stock M or anything  )... I've always kind of liked those wheels on various other cars but when I saw it on the M, to me it just matched up perfectly.

I'm going to hang on to the wheels as long as I can, but I know down the road I'm probably going to have to go with something a little bigger, mostly for the brakes so that the brakes can kind of match the performance upgrades I want to do.

dont get me wrong. i love the way our cars looks lammed on flush 15's. but our body isnt made for it. slamming it on 15's makes the frame rails too close to the floor. my car is slammed probly as low as it can be before major rubbing w/ pulled fenders and i have plenty of room from the floor. i dont even scrape speed bumps.

17's+ FTW!!

and brakes.:)

I don't want it too low, just low enough to look good but I'll likely be going with 17's, definitely nothing bigger though.

I spot a disgruntled 1st-gen Q45 hiding in the corner... I see you have a history?

Hope the M30 doesn't turn out the same way haha

 Nope, definitely not. The M is in much better shape than the Q. That Q was really bad off... it was kind of disappointing to see it in such bad shape but I'm using its parts for a good cause.
