My 91 pearl white coupe 58k Miami style .
I'll start by saying it's cool to be a part of your forums, and here's my m30. It has 58k on the odo and was said to be a 2 owner car before my friend who owned it for a short time before myself. I have replaced main bearings due to an improper repair to the common front main bearing knock issue. (they put all grade 0's in it and made it worse.) I have also converted to s13 front with coilovers, and have purchased some period correct ARE mesh 17x9.5's. I have to get them drilled to 5x4.5 and I will be painting the centers body color and repolishing the lips. Also just added oe looking eBay muff to fix leak at rear, swapped to smaller g20 steering wheel, purchased eBay tension rods, and energy rack bushings. I'll be updating from time to time.

I'm actually in ga it was shipped here from Miami in 04 I think by some used car sales/transport company, I found the papers in the owners manual packet.. It has some light to medium corrosion under the hood from being near the beach, and someone tried re-dying the pillar trim I guess because they were faded. The dye never dried right and it stayed sticky like some cheap spray paint, so I covered the trim with some ivory microsuede that almost matches the headliner. One of the coolest things about this car is that the original owner bought charcoal mats, used them and left the ivory ones in the original wrapper in the trunk along with the Infiniti car cover!

Sell car to ez and sell me the ivory mats. Lol nice car. Can't wait to see it with those mesh rims.

Nice ride man, and you're not too far, I'm down here in Orlando, FL... It's funny you mention the sticky pillar trim, my M has the same thing, maybe this is a common problem? I am ready to rip it all out and sand it down, lol. What part of GA are you from I have a lot of family up there?

Sticky gooey trim is a common problem. Had it on my M until I took it all down and used tsp substitute on it and gave it a light sand. Re-paint and now its like new again.iLLBiLL wrote:Nice ride man, and you're not too far, I'm down here in Orlando, FL... Re: My 91 pearl white coupe 58k Miami style!
I'm in athens which is ne of Atlanta. I had no idea that this was a common problem, I thought a lot lizard went crazy with dye, well I have found other areas that had been resprayed too. I did get the s13/14 bushings, and I'm not sure if I would recommend them. The left side triangle style bushing worked ok but the rack tube was in between sizes for the right side s13/14 bushings so I just used the smaller diameter one (can't remember which model) it fit really tight, just didn't look all that nice. I am still having a slight problem with the rack shifting under hard turns or maybe column, not sure yet. The wheel just doesn't return to 12:00 all the
time. Also I noticed that the m30 has a metal main bushing with a rubber coating, which I don't believe the 240s have, so it
may be smarter to get new oem bushings. Someone chime in if they have anything to add because it kinda surprised me that it didn't fix it.
