Re: m30 from kansas
I don't know Chris, you've done tons of improvements.
People are forgetting that rebuilding these takes ideas, creativity and time. Especially now that parts are not fully available.
In the beginning of this thread.. do you have the old pix of your car?

Thanks Rodger. You are correct. I do have the pics but they're on my old laptop with a fried motherboard. I need to buy the device to transfer content from my old hard drive.
This is my story...I was super broke when my mom gave me this car. Now I have 3 cars total and they are all separated because I moved into an apartment to save money to bring my foreign fiancé because there are always speedbumps and I want to play it safe. Hopefully by the summer we will have a new home and all my belongings will be together. My apartment is full of tools and a bunch of car parts so I should be able to get the chassis ready for an engine in just a few months when I dedicate to it...but I'm in no hurry for the motor because I don't ever want to sell my m30.
Right now I also have a Jeep truck stored outside in my dads backyard. I'm making a hybrid basically and been struggling with the welding (the HF mig wasn't cutting it so I had to buy an arc, then I had to buy a super thick extension cord and its a bish to work with). Plus my dad talked me into pulling the motor Sunday and now I got to get a new head and tear apart 3 transmissions for what I'm doing. My goal is to get this done first.
My plan has changed for this car a couple times but at the moment I'm thinking to try to keep the custom look to a minimum and keep it gutted and light. Would like to find some stock alloys from an m30 or z31. But...Kansas lol

Re: m30 from kansas
I feel you bro. I don't know if you remember, I started to become absent from f31club.. I moved to San Francisco and space is premium.. so I don't have a place to take a part a car like I did before. Then came career change, family and school.
Even now, I work in pediatric cardiology working long hours and even on call... It has been a blessing, but I always kept the M30 and f31club in the back of my mind.
So priorities first and I know you have family and all that. I ask about the pictures because I'm trying to build up f31club again. It won't be as social, but it will be a reference and historic point.
I've rebuilt a few threads luckily that people's photobucket accounts have are still active (not all) and I've been scanning the manuals with ideas of doing more!
Now that I have been to Japan and met many of the members, I have more resources and different perspectives on how to build f31club.

Re: m30 from kansas
Had a warm day last week. And today. Put Plasti-Dip on the lip and got it on there pretty snug. I have my very own canvas garage now so paint will be done sometime this summer.
Here is a pic from today
