Fresh purchase... RB26 project eventually.

Post by F31Metal » Sat Dec 03, 2011 11:24 pm

SO! Hey there. Figured this would be a cool first post. I only have one picture as of right now. (Got the car dropped off and it was in the dark...) of the car its self. Obviously more to come...

That's my 240 in the back there all up on stock springs... Need to get coilovers for it, but not for it... Haha M30 needs them!

Yes, once I have everything, that motor is going in this car.

Thank you thank you! It won't be for a good while unfortunately... I need to finish getting the swap together, take some measurements... Strip the car out, do some suspension work... Long way to go. For now I'm running the stock VG with a muffler the last owner put on with a SUPER AWESOME K&N... Drop in filter. Haha But I did get a chip with the car that I'll put in soon, and get rid of the garbage... The two cats and such. So not needed. Should make some decent power, enough to drift with. Have a ton of spare S13 stuff to toss in it too, welded diff and such.

Is that an RB25 tranny mated to your RB26?

Yessir! RB25 trans, oil pan is welded up, it's all RWD'd out! Best part is. seeing as I'm going to use all S-chassis front parts, my McKinny mounts will work. Just hopping my down pipe clears... $500 dollar down pipe made to clear the steering shaft of an S chassis. I really hope it clears this steering rack.

It cost my buddy $55 bucks for a 24 hour drop off rental, no mileage charge. Where they get you is WHERE you drop it off haha. He picked it up in CT (45 minutes from his house) and it cost him $55 to do 8 hours of driving with it, but he had to drop it off back in CT because if he didn't they were going to charge $125 to accept it dropped off at a closer location...
