Damn! I've been itching to work on my M. Been too busy with 2JZ and 1JZ wiring jobs lately. Just finished the 2JZ, now working on the 1JZ, but after that I'm jumping back on my own sh!t. The guy with the 1J is debating whether or not to drop it into an SC300 or an M30. We'll see what he decides...

I had to revisit the RB25 oil pan mod. Contrary to popular belief, the RB25 pan can be mounted to the RB26 block using all bolt locations. All the RB25 oil pan holes line up with the extra 6mm mounting hole pattern available on the RB26. There is just 1 hole that requires reaming out to accept the larger RB26 10mm bolt at the front, near the alternator. The 10mm bolt also needs to be shortened to screw in completely. Unfortunately, I forgot to ream out the hole and already sealed up the pan. Cleaning off gasket material sucks. Anyway, all bolt holes are now occupied.

Assembled the hybrid RB26/Z32 tranny. I still have to add the aftermarket shifter bracket.

Yes, it's moving along, although very slowly. Still, it's small steps in the right direction. There's word that a new race track will finally be opening soon in Hawaii. Our old track closed down years ago. I'm going to check out the open house this Sat. Maybe this will help motivate me to hurry up and finish this damn thing!

Small update. This was J's old kit. It's a little rough at the moment and needs some work, but it still looks okay.

For sure. If you look closely, you can see it's starting to crack along the fiberglass/polyurethane seam already!
