Where did you pick that up? Is it a real bride or a knock off?

suspension matters

Post by Driftur » Sun May 20, 2007 12:27 am

I got my suspension in yesterday! ahahahahaha
after what feels like a very long time of bouncing around on my stock setup, i finally got my shiet right!
- megan track series coilovers
- new lower control arms
- kazama super tie rod ends/ inner tie rods
- new bellows boots
- battle version tension rods

woot!

the coilovers at first impression looked fucking hawt! a very pretty setup for the money, also the 12kg/10kg spring rates I felt were a good choice cause our m's are so damn heavy, i've only driven on the softest setting so far, so I can't say how good they are yet, but the ride is surprisingly very comfortable. also pricing played a big part in my decesion, there are coilover sets that are a couple hundred cheaper and the next one up from this was about 400 more and up, up, up, the prices go! all in all im stoked with the end result and i'll let you guys know how she hangs on the stiffer settings

nice progress driftur.

question on the front strut bar. it looks as if the bar from the s13 is too LONG. why dont you just add the nuts back on there, and bent the bar in 2 spots. thats what i did " bent the bar in 2 spots" for my s13 w/ ca18det since the ca18 shares the same type manifold as the s14 sr, TOP MOUNTED plenum instead of the snail. my original front strut bar for the s13/ka24/sr20 wouldnt clear so i made it fit. just a head up of how i did it. im gonna try my old on my m n let you know how that goes. peace
