Well even over small bumps the rear goes flying up in the air when I'm going kinda fast, I guess preloading them should work. I'll give it a try. I don't want to roll the fenders because, well frankly I don't know how, and am afraid I'll chip the paint.

Small chance I'll be in the LA area with the M late December or early January.

If you are in LA with some free time definitely let me know. Rolling is pretty easy, use a heat gun with some patience and you won't chip the paint.

Maybe its just me but....I think the chrome trimming would look better painted black.

Ez22, I was suppose to go to Cali last month but lost my job...

On a side note, I had my car fail inspection, the HC's were at 254. This was right after seafoaming it. So I burned off all the fuel in the tank, put some Chevron with Techron Supreme 93 octane gasoline, removed the air filter, and made sure the car was warm when it was inspected (left it on until the inspector took it). 220 is the limit here, and it passed with a reading of 190!

Also, it snowed here in Texas...I was surprised so I snapped some pics. The last pic are my dads footprints.

When you painted it did you remove the chrome trim? If so was it just clipped it or was there studs from behind to move or anything?

Clt - Yes they were removed. They are held by screws and clips, mostly clips. You will break the clips as they are 20 years old. I just super glued them back on. I did manage to keep a few good clips. You will know when you encounter a screw...you will pull but it won't budge. In that case, interior trim has to be taken off to get to the screws.

Had some free time on spring break, did something I've been wanting to do for a long time. Upgrade my soundstage. Bigtime! Also worked on a lightweight birch enclosure and various amp racks for my three babies. Also great stuffed the trunk lid, whole rear deck, and filled a,b, and c pillars as well as the quarter panels with polyfill. I fiberglassed the custom doors myself, still working on them atm. Each speaker has its own sealed enclosure stuffed with polyfill (25%). I will be running some Usher 8948A 7" woofers as midbass, Hertz HV 6.5" as midrange and morel mdt-39 & Hertz HT25 as tweeters. Powered by a Soundstream Van Gogh 500.4, and a Arc Audio SE 2075. I also got a lightweight XS Power S1200 AGM under the hood so now the batts float at 13.2V with the car off after an hour. Get ready for pics.

Thanks man! A lot of work for sure, I am hoping to be done with everything by the end of this week, assuming I get my flares for the port in before Saturday. Tomorrow I bondo and sand the doors, getting them ready for paint and fabric. Still re-using the original white leather on the doors. Running the speaker wire through the door gromets was a pain in the ass!! The Drivers side was unreal, soo cramped! Had to remove the fuse box just to get my hand in there to pull the speaker wire.

And here are some of the box and port, and how it sits right now. Box is bolted down and secured...everything is so nothing moves as a make quick turns and stops. Flares are just primered until I decide on a color.

Bad news...thieves. Not at my place, but at my moms. Apartment complex's ftl. Heard an alarm, sounded like mine so I went out to find this. I guess the alarm scared him off, as nothing was missing.
