wifes 92 coupe

Post by suttlef31 » Sat Mar 04, 2017 10:56 pm

Hey everybody,

Thought i would share this sweet little find. Picked it up a few months ago for $150. Someone did not keep up with their timing belt, and we all know how that goes. I picked this one up to build for the wife. Going to keep it pretty stock. Will rebuild the engine, replace the interior, and paint the rear bumper. The body is solid and straight and the undercarriage has no rust.

Yeah, he was asking $500 but said it was going to the scrap yard in a couple days. I have another '92 coupe in the garage that I have owned since '06 that is currently under the knife, told him I did not really need another project just wanted to tell him I really liked it. When he told me that he would take $150 or it was getting scrapped I had no choice but to buy it. I keep an eye out for them all the time in case I can come up on a steal. Luckily here in Georgia not too many people know what they are and they will pop up sometimes for next to nothing.

Awesome!!!

I'm glad you saved it instead of going to the scrapper.

Any info you need or can contribute? Post up pix of the white one!

It was a two tone with white/gold when I bought it. Was not feeling the gold so just went satin black.

That is nice! I have to ask another favor!

Can you take more pictures of the fog light? Like the switch and up close?
I'm trying to verify if there is was an aftermarket kit for the M30.

I used some cheap, off shelf fog lights from Pep boys. They mounted with a couple of the lower grille bolts. Just used a generic toggle switch to turn them on. Will try to remember to get some pics tomorrow.
